Our Lady of Victory Church in Upper Arlington was the site of the first annual Collegiate Tailgate Party, Eye Care for Kids, Inc., on March 10. Individual tickets were sold for $50 to more than 125 guests who attended the event, hosted by Dr. Don L. Bremer, chief of pediatric ophthalmology. It was a fun night with tailgate food catered by Old Bag of Nails, live and silent auctions, musical performances by the Darryl Gatlin Show and dancing. Emcee Bob Kendrick, co-anchor at ABC6 News, introduced speakers Maria Haghnazari and Kelly Mossman, whose children were direct beneficiaries of pediatric eye treatment. In all, the tailgate party raised $14,000 to benefit Pediatric Eye Research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. (Photography and IDs courtesy Paul Perger/ Perger Photography.)
