Do you think Derris Lewis received too much or too little in last week’s settlement—to the tune of $950,000—between him and the city of Columbus?
Lewis was charged with killing his twin brother, Dennis, and spent 18 months in jail awaiting trial. Eventually, the charges were dropped when key evidence was refuted.

House Bill 318 sits in the Ohio State Senate, while a Dec. 31-deadline to pass the bill looms. The bill would delay a 4.2 percent cut in the state income tax rate for two years. The money saved by this delay would fund school districts and libraries across the state.

The Central Ohio Transit Authority board voted Tuesday to increase their rates by as much as 26 percent, effective the first day of the new year. One-way local fares will cost only 25 cents more, while monthly express fares will increase from $62 to $76.
